NOTICE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF A DRAFT SCOPING REPORT FOR PUBLIC REVIEW OF THE EIA PROCESS AND WASTE MANAGEMENT LICENCE APPLICATION FOR THE PROPOSED RE-USE/ RECYCLE OF FLY ASH, PAPER PULP, DOLOMITE WASTE AND EFFLUENT WATER IN THE BRICK MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF BRAKKEFONTEIN CLAY PRODUCTS (APOLLO BRICK GAUTENG), PORTION 63/131 FARM ELANDSFONTEIN, WITKOPPIES, KEMPTON PARK WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF CITY OF EKURHULENI.
Please be advised as a stakeholder, notice is hereby given in terms of Section 24 of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended, of the intent to apply for a waste management licence to undertake a listed activity.
The proposed project is located Portion 63 and 131 of the farm Elandsfontein 412 JR, Witkoppies, Kempton Park, within City of Ekurhuleni.
Tshimologo Environmental Services (Pty) Ltd has been appointed by Apollo Brick Gauteng to conduct scoping and EIA in support of an application for waste management licence in terms of Regulation 12 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (GNR.982 of 4 December 2014, as amended on 7 April 2017), as the independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) for the abovementioned application process.
The Draft Scoping Report is available for comment from Thursday, 09 March 2023 to Monday, 10 April 2023 on Tshimologo Environmental’s website
